Position Overview:
PMC is expanding its Sales team and seeking an Engineering Technical Sales Account Manager (Industrial Equipment) to drive revenue by identifying new customers and managing relationships with existing accounts. This individual will play a critical role in growing our business by prospecting and developing new sales opportunities while providing top-tier service and technical guidance to current clients. As a trusted partner to our customers, you will guide them through the full sales lifecycle—from first contact and quoting to order fulfillment, testing, and follow-up—working cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure customer success.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through research, networking, referrals, and outreach. Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and uncover growth opportunities. Qualify leads, prepare proposals, and manage a robust sales pipeline to meet or exceed revenue goals. Collaborate closely with engineering, tooling, manufacturing, and service teams to translate customer requirements into effective technical solutions. Work with internal departments to generate and maintain accurate tooling and machine specification sheets. Coordinate and attend Factory Approval Tests at PMC and Site Acceptance Tests at customer facilities. Ensure timely and accurate handling of inquiries, quotes, order processing, and post-sale support. Maintain accurate and current records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions using CRM (Salesforce preferred). Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field OR Minimum of four (4) years of technical or engineering-based sales experience Demonstrated experience in prospecting and winning new customers Solid understanding of basic mechanical and electrical concepts Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Results-driven mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Preferred Skills Experience selling capital equipment or working in industrial manufacturing environments Proficiency in sales forecasting, lead generation, and account strategy Familiarity with CRM platforms, especially Salesforce Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into clear value propositions Why Join PMC?
