Job Description

SALES MANAGER
— HOTWORX We're looking for a sales powerhouse who wants to win — and wants their work to actually make a difference in people's lives. HOTWORX is looking for a high-energy, competitive, results-driven Sales Manager to build, develop, and lead an exceptional sales team. We want someone who loves sales, thrives on goals, develops strong salespeople, and genuinely believes in the power of health and wellness. At HOTWORX, selling a membership isn't just making a sale. It's helping someone take a step toward feeling stronger, healthier, more confident, and more in control of their wellness. We want a leader who can build a team that understands both sides of that equation: Care about people. And know how to
CLOSE. WHAT YOU'LL OWN
As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving membership growth, developing an elite sales team, and creating a studio culture centered around results, energy, wellness, and exceptional member experiences.
You will:
Recruit, train, coach, motivate, and lead a team of high-performing Sales Associates Personally SELL — leaders lead from the front Drive membership growth and studio revenue Set clear daily, weekly, and monthly sales expectations Coach your team on prospecting, tours, overcoming objections, follow-up, and closing Hold your team accountable for both activity and results Track leads, appointments, tours, conversions, memberships, referrals, and other key sales metrics Make sure every lead receives consistent and persistent follow-up Generate new leads through community outreach, partnerships, referrals, events, and local networking Build relationships within the local health, fitness, and wellness community Create energy, urgency, and healthy competition within the sales team Run sales contests, challenges, and incentives Identify performance gaps quickly and coach your team to improve Develop Sales Associates into confident, knowledgeable wellness advocates and strong closers Create an environment where members feel welcomed, supported, encouraged, and excited about their goals Build a pipeline of future top-performing Sales Associates
SALES WITH A PURPOSE
We're aggressive about growth because we believe in what we're selling. Every person who walks through our doors has a reason for being there. Maybe they want to feel stronger. Maybe they're trying to create healthier habits. Maybe they need an hour that's finally about themselves. Maybe they're intimidated by traditional fitness environments and looking for something different. Our job is to understand their why, connect them with a solution, and help them take action. The best salesperson for HOTWORX isn't someone who pressures people into buying something they don't need. It's someone who can connect with people, uncover what matters to them, confidently communicate the value of HOTWORX, overcome objections, ask for the sale, and help someone say YES to themselves.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We want someone who is: Competitive. You like winning and hate missing a goal. Passionate about health and wellness. You believe movement, fitness, and healthy habits can genuinely improve people's lives. Sales-driven. You understand that activity creates opportunities and opportunities create sales. People-focused. You can connect with almost anyone and genuinely enjoy helping people. Relentless with follow-up. A lead isn't forgotten because they didn't answer the first call. Accountable. You don't make excuses for missed numbers — you create a plan to change them. A coach. You know how to make the people around you better. A recruiter. You recognize sales talent and continually work to strengthen your team. Energetic. Your attitude sets the tone for the studio. Comfortable with numbers. You know your goals, pipeline, conversion rates, and exactly what needs to happen to hit the month. A closer. You aren't afraid to ask for the sale.
YOU'LL PROBABLY LOVE THIS JOB IF
… You genuinely enjoy helping people improve their lives. You get excited when someone tells you they've finally found a fitness routine they can stick with. You also get excited when your team blows past its monthly sales goal. You check the sales board throughout the day. You hear "I need to think about it" and immediately start thinking about the objection behind it. You believe follow-up is where most sales are won. You enjoy turning an average salesperson into a rockstar. You naturally create competition and energy around goals. You want your job to have a purpose and you want your performance to be measurable.
And when someone says:
"There's no way we're hitting that number." Your response is: "Watch us."
EXPERIENCE
Previous sales experience is required. Sales management, fitness sales, membership sales, high-ticket sales, retail sales leadership, or another performance-driven sales environment is strongly preferred. Experience in fitness, health, or wellness is a plus — but a genuine passion for helping people live healthier lives is essential. We care about experience, but we care just as much about drive, leadership, competitiveness, accountability, energy, and demonstrated results.
THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT ROLE IF
… You're uncomfortable making outbound calls. You don't like being measured against sales goals. You avoid difficult performance conversations. You believe management means sitting in an office while your team sells. You wait for customers to walk through the door. You're uncomfortable asking for the sale. You want a low-pressure management position where maintaining the status quo is enough.
OUR MISSION FOR THIS ROLE
Build a sales machine with heart. Create a team of confident, competitive Sales Associates who prospect hard, follow up relentlessly, connect authentically with people, believe in what they're selling, and know how to close. Build a culture where members feel supported in becoming healthier versions of themselves — while the studio consistently grows. We don't want someone who simply manages HOTWORX. We want someone who grows the business, grows their team, and helps grow a healthier community.
