Founded in 1992, Keane Kitchens is a family-owned Bay Area kitchen remodeling company built on craftsmanship, integrity, attention to detail, and great customer service. We are looking for an organized, personable, and dependable Sales Coordinator / Administrative Assistant to join our San Mateo showroom and provide dedicated support to one salesperson. This is an important support role within our sales process. You'll help keep customer appointments, communication, paperwork, estimates, project information, and follow-ups organized so that customers receive a professional and responsive experience from beginning to end. About the
Position:
We're looking for someone who already has experience in an administrative, sales support, project coordination, or similar professional role and is comfortable managing multiple priorities at once. You do not need previous kitchen or cabinetry experience. We can teach you our products, design process, and how we operate. However, you should already have a strong foundation in organization, customer communication, attention to detail, and follow-through. The right person will enjoy staying organized, working with customers, solving small problems before they become bigger ones, and helping keep a busy salesperson and their projects on track.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with one salesperson as their primary administrative and sales support Manage and coordinate customer appointments and the salesperson's schedule Confirm appointments and help prepare necessary information and materials beforehand Keep customer files, paperwork, selections, and project information organized and up to date Assist with estimates, proposals, contracts, and other sales documents Track outstanding customer information, selections, measurements, decisions, and other project details Follow up with customers by phone and email as needed Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers professionally Help manage routine customer emails and communication Assist the salesperson and customers during showroom appointments when needed Organize samples, product selections, and presentation materials Communicate with customers, vendors, installers, and other team members Keep track of open tasks and make sure important items are followed through to completion Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming showroom Learn our products and processes and take on additional responsibilities as you become comfortable in the role
What We're Looking For:
Required:
1+ year of experience in administrative support, sales support, project coordination, office administration, executive assistance, or a similar professional support role Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Professional and friendly communication skills Comfortable communicating with customers by phone, email, and in person Experience managing appointments, schedules, paperwork, and follow-up tasks Ability to manage multiple customers, projects, and priorities at the same time Comfortable using computers, email, calendars, documents, and spreadsheets Dependable, punctual, and consistent Strong follow-through and ability to keep track of outstanding tasks Proactive and willing to take initiative Comfortable working closely with and supporting one salesperson Preferred, but not required: Experience in kitchen and bath, cabinetry, remodeling, construction, interior design, architecture, home improvement, or another project-based industry is a strong plus.
