Operations & Sales Coordinator Carlsbad Office Furniture | Carlsbad, CA | Full-Time or Flexible | $50,000 - $65,000/year + Commission Opportunities About Us Carlsbad Office Furniture is a small, owner-operated business serving clients throughout the San Diego area, primarily in Carlsbad. I take pride in helping businesses find the right furniture solutions, and I do it with a personal touch and a genuine commitment to quality. I'm ready to bring someone on board to help me grow, and I'm looking for the right person to be part of that from the ground up. The Role This is a varied, hands-on role at the center of the business. You'll work closely with me to keep things running smoothly, handling everything from coordinating projects and supporting sales to managing day-to-day office operations. No two days will look exactly the same, and that's what makes it a great fit for someone who thrives on variety. What You'll Do Support the sales process, including preparing quotes, following up with clients, and tracking orders Coordinate projects from start to finish, keeping timelines and details on track Manage scheduling, correspondence, and day-to-day administrative tasks Eventually serve as the go-to point of contact for clients, vendors, and partners Keep the office organized and operations running efficiently Pitch in wherever needed, as this is a two-person operation (for now) and every contribution counts What We're Looking For Strong organizational skills, with the ability to stay on top of details without being reminded A proactive, self-starter mindset, where you see what needs to be done and take initiative Clear, professional communication, both written and verbal Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment Experience in office management, executive support, or operations coordination preferred Familiarity with the office furniture or commercial interiors industry is a plus, but not required What We Offer $50,000 - $65,000 annual salary based on experience, with opportunities to earn commission if interested A laid-back but high-quality work environment where your contributions are seen and valued Direct access to ownership and real influence on how the business operates The chance to grow alongside the company from an early stage Bonus Skills That Would Go a Long Way No single candidate will check every box, but any of the following would be a great added bonus: Familiarity with AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to help streamline day-to-day tasks Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting, presentations, and client materials Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software An eye for interior design or a genuine interest in how spaces come together Natural people skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with clients and partners A can-do attitude, where no task feels beneath you and no challenge feels too big Experience in SEO and marketing How to Apply Send your resume and a brief note about yourself to aaron@carlsbadofficefurniture.com or swing by the office/showroom to apply in person.
