Conduct route driving to deliver fresh produce efficiently while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe driving practices. Assist clients with product selection, upselling additional items, and providing expert advice on produce quality and usage. Manage merchandising displays at client locations, ensuring products are well-presented and inventory levels are maintained. Perform heavy lifting and safe lifting practices when handling produce loads, ensuring safety for yourself and team members. Utilize basic math skills for pricing, invoicing, and inventory management to ensure accurate billing and stock levels. Build lasting customer relationships through excellent service, timely communication, and personalized client support. Coordinate automobile transportation logistics for timely deliveries, maintaining compliance with all safety standards. Requirements Proven experience in retail store environments or sales roles involving produce or perishable goods is preferred. Valid driver's license with commercial driving experience; knowledge of route driving and commercial truck driving preferred. Strong understanding of pricing strategies, upselling techniques, and basic math for transactions. Familiarity with DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and transportation safety standards. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, negotiation, and team collaboration. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Organizational skills to manage routes efficiently, keep accurate records, and ensure timely deliveries.
