Duties Engage with customers in retail stores and on-route visits to understand their needs and recommend suitable products or services. Promote upselling opportunities by identifying additional products or services that benefit the customer. Manage pricing strategies to ensure competitive offers while maintaining profitability. Coordinate with transportation teams to ensure timely delivery of automobile shipments, following DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct route driving efficiently while maintaining safety standards, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices when handling merchandise or equipment. Maintain organized records of sales activities, client interactions, and route schedules to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction. Support merchandising efforts at retail locations by ensuring product displays are attractive and well-stocked. Experience Proven experience in retail store sales or customer service roles, preferably with exposure to automobile transportation or heavy lifting environments. Familiarity with pricing strategies, upselling techniques, and client relationship building. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and transportation safety standards. Strong math skills for calculating prices, discounts, and profit margins. Excellent communication skills for engaging clients effectively both face-to-face and over the phone. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices.
