Job Description
Art Sales Consultant Serge Sorokko Gallery, an established contemporary art gallery in Napa representing internationally recognized artists, is seeking a motivated and professional Art Sales Consultant to join our team. This is a client-facing, commission-driven sales role for someone with strong communication skills, a polished demeanor, and the ability to build lasting relationships with collectors, visitors, designers, and prospective buyers. The position includes guaranteed wages, but commission is a major part of the compensation structure, and successful sales performance is expected to account for the majority of total earnings. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated sales experience, strong follow-up habits, and a genuine interest in contemporary visual art. Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with collectors, visitors, designers, and prospective clients. Present artworks professionally and knowledgeably to clients. Follow up with leads and inquiries in a timely, organized, and professional manner. Support gallery sales efforts, including client communication, artwork presentations, and sales documentation. Maintain a polished and professional presence in the gallery. Provide a high level of service to visitors and clients. Work independently while also supporting the broader gallery team. Qualifications Demonstrated success in sales, preferably in art, luxury goods, design, real estate, hospitality, or another client-focused field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional demeanor, discretion, and comfort working with high-end clientele. Knowledge of and enthusiasm for contemporary visual art. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in art history, fine art, business, communications, or a related field.
