Construction MaterialsCompensation:
$3,000 Monthly Base +
Uncapped Commission Focus:
General Construction Materials (90%) | LGS Framing Systems (10%) The Opportunity We are looking for a "boots-on-the-ground" Sales Representative to grow our footprint in the local construction market. You will primarily focus on moving high-volume construction materials, with the added advantage of offering Light Gauge Steel (LGS) framing solutions for modern, precision-based projects.
Key Responsibilities Drive Material Volume:
Actively prospect and sell core construction materials to contractors, builders, and developers.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain a "Preferred Vendor" relationship with existing accounts through consistent follow-ups.
Field Sales:
Spend the majority of your time on job sites and in developer offices, identifying material needs before they hit the bidding stage.
Quote & Close:
Provide fast, accurate pricing for material orders and manage the sales process from initial handshake to delivery.
Identify LGS Opportunities:
Recognize projects (approx. 10% of your portfolio) where Light Gauge Steel framing offers a better solution than wood, and consult with clients on its benefits.
Pipeline Tracking:
Maintain a clean CRM to ensure all leads and quotes are followed up on in a timely manner.
Job Requirements Sales Experience:
1-3 years in B2B or outbound sales (experience in the construction or hardware industry is highly preferred).
Technical Literacy:
Ability to read basic blueprints and understand material quantities for "take-offs."
Reliability:
A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required for daily site visits.
Adaptability:
Willingness to learn the technical specs of LGS framing to effectively pitch it alongside general materials.
Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills—you should be as comfortable talking to a site foreman as you are to a business owner.
Grit:
