Job Description
Outside Sales Representative - Foodservice | Hotels & Resorts Culinary Specialties, Inc. is a leading Southern California gourmet food manufacturer and distributor serving luxury hotels, resorts, country clubs, convention centers, casinos, and other hospitality venues. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to manage our Palm Springs and Inland Empire territory . This is an outstanding opportunity to take over an established territory with existing customers while developing new business throughout the region. The territory includes Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Riverside, Corona, Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, and surrounding communities. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Protected sales territory Established customer base Car allowance Cell phone allowance Medical insurance 401(k) with company participation Paid vacation and holidays Long-term career growth with an established company What You'll Do Develop new business throughout your assigned territory Maintain and grow existing customer accounts Call on executive chefs, purchasing managers, food & beverage directors, and kitchen management Conduct product presentations and tastings Recommend products that meet customer needs Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals Generate and follow up on qualified sales leads Plan and organize daily sales calls and customer visits Maintain customer records and activity reports Stay current on product offerings and industry trends Deliver exceptional customer service before and after the sale Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally Work closely with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction Respond promptly to customer needs, including occasional after-hours communication Qualifications
- Previous outside foodservice sales experience preferred.
- Experience selling to hotels, resorts, restaurants, country clubs, casinos, or other hospitality accounts is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of professional sales techniques and customer relationship management.
- Excellent customer service skills with a passion for building long-term client relationships.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with chefs, purchasing managers, and hospitality professionals.
- Strong technology and smartphone proficiency is required. Your smartphone will be your primary business tool while working in the field. You must be comfortable and efficient with making calls, sending emails and text messages, opening and sharing files, taking and sending photos, using navigation, and responding quickly to customers and management throughout the day.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other business applications.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities while working independently.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout the Palm Springs and Inland Empire territory.
