$13,000-$39,000 per year About Local Host Local Host is a Redding-based community discovery platform built to help people discover local events, experiences, businesses, activities and meaningful community opportunities throughout Redding. We also work directly with local businesses that want to become part of the Local Host community through sponsorships, featured placements and local partnerships. We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships and introducing Redding businesses to something new. About the Role Local Host is hiring a Part-Time Outside Sponsorship Sales Representative to connect directly with businesses throughout Redding. This is a local, field-based sales position. You will visit Redding businesses, introduce Local Host, speak with business owners and decision makers, explain our sponsorship opportunities and help interested businesses become Local Host sponsors. You will also use phone calls, email and the Local Host CRM to schedule meetings, follow up with potential sponsors and keep your sales pipeline organized. This is not primarily a desk-based or phone-only sales position. The majority of your sales activity will take place throughout Redding, meeting businesses directly and developing relationships within the local community. What You'll Do Visit businesses throughout Redding and introduce Local Host Speak directly with business owners, managers and decision makers Explain Local Host sponsorship opportunities and pricing Conduct in-person sponsorship conversations and presentations Build a pipeline of prospective local sponsors Follow up with interested businesses by phone, email and in person Take scheduled calls with prospective sponsors Help businesses determine which Local Host sponsorship is the right fit Guide businesses through the sponsorship purchasing process Close new sponsorships Keep leads, follow-ups and sales opportunities organized inside the Local Host CRM Coordinate newly closed sponsors with the Local Host team for onboarding Represent Local Host professionally throughout the Redding community Compensation This is a commission-only W-2 outside sales position.
Estimated annual compensation:
$13,000-$39,000 There is no guaranteed hourly wage or base salary. Representatives earn 30% commission on qualifying new Local Host sponsorship revenue they personally generate and close. Current Commission Examples $250 sponsorship sold Earn $75 $750 sponsorship sold Earn $225 $1,150 sponsorship sold Earn $345 There is no cap on qualifying commissions. The $13,000-$39,000 annual range is a good-faith estimate of potential commission earnings for this part-time position. Actual earnings will depend on individual sales performance and the number and value of sponsorships personally generated and closed. Complete commission terms, sales-credit requirements, earning requirements and payment timing will be provided in a written commission agreement before employment begins. Approved necessary business expenses will be reimbursed separately according to Local Host policy and applicable California requirements. Schedule This is a part-time position . Our primary local business outreach window is: Monday through Sunday 11:00 AM-4:00 PM Your schedule may include business visits, prospecting, scheduled meetings and follow-up activities during these hours. Because this is an outside sales position, the majority of your working time will be spent in the field meeting and prospecting businesses throughout Redding. Phone calls, emails and CRM work support your outside sales activity. Who We're Looking For We're not looking for someone who pressures people into buying something. You should enjoy talking with people and building relationships. You Must Be at least 18 years old Currently live in Redding, California or the immediate Redding area Be comfortable visiting businesses throughout Redding Be comfortable approaching and introducing yourself to new people Be comfortable speaking directly with business owners and decision makers Be comfortable discussing pricing and asking for the sale Have reliable transportation for local business outreach Be comfortable using a CRM to manage leads and follow-ups Communicate professionally by phone, email and in person Be organized and consistent with follow-ups Be comfortable working independently in the community Be able to professionally represent Local Host Experience Previous experience in sales is helpful, but it is not the only thing we're looking for. Front Page Sponsor | $750 A higher-visibility sponsorship for businesses that want a more prominent presence within Local Host. Custom Booking Partner | $1,150 Our highest current sponsorship level for businesses that want a more customized booking-focused Local Host experience. You will be trained on our sponsorship options, how Local Host works and how to help a business determine which opportunity makes the most sense for them. Our goal is not high-pressure selling. We want to build genuine relationships with Redding businesses and connect the right businesses with opportunities that make sense for them. Location Requirement Applicants must currently reside in Redding, California or the immediate Redding area. This is not a fully remote position.
