Job Description
City San Jose State California Job Location SFO 413 Santa Palmia Position Type Regular Leasing Inside Sales Representative is an integral member of the Sales Team, functioning as the primary point of contact for prospective residents. This position is accountable for lead management, securing tour appointments, presenting community features to prospects to maximize leasing results, and providing exceptional customer service to prospects, residents, and colleagues. The role is also responsible for all administrative duties related to the sales function in the customer relationship management (CRM) software. Please note that Leasing Consultant is the internal title of this role. Hourly associates earn $24, plus a tiered commission structure that rewards strong performance. On average, commissions are $100 per move-in, with the opportunity to earn more as you reach higher performance tiers. Comprehensive training and ongoing mentorship are provided to support your success. The ideal candidate is ambitious, self-motivated, and driven by opportunities for advancement. There is no face-to-face client interaction, sales are conducted over-the-phone. All leads are warm, therefore NO cold-calling is involved.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Works in a centralized sales hub and facilitates leasing remotely to maintain established target occupancy for the assigned portfolio on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Manage incoming leads in the CRM system, schedule self-guided tours, and provide a high-quality leasing experience for future residents, which included assessing clients' needs and pairing them with the best home that fits their criteria. Manage pipeline and follow up with prospects by continuously reaching out with tailored updates to assist in their home search. Maintain in-depth knowledge of each community and apartments within the assigned portfolio.WHAT YOU WILL NEED
High school diploma or GED equivalent 1+ years of experience in retail sales, inside sales, call center operations, customer service, or a related field with a focus on upselling is required. Proven work experience in Sales or Customer service and track record of achieving sales target is preferred. Previous phone sales experience is a plus. Proficient understanding of the Microsoft suite, familiarity with CRM systems and practices.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Work is primarily conducted in an office setting. Requires sitting at a desk or workstation for extended periods. Involves the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. This role demands availability for five days each week, with the potential for including weekends in the schedule as necessary. Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Minimal physical effort in the day-to-day tasks. Physical presence at the centralized sales hub is an essential function of this role and to achieve success. It supports collaboration, access to company systems, and consistent execution of standardized sales processes. Regular and predictable on-site attendance at the centralized sales hub is required due to the customer-facing and revenue-impacting nature of the role. Participation in ongoing and impromptu live coaching, team meetings, and in-person 1:1's to ensure consistent skill development, compliance adherence, and sales effectiveness. This role demands availability for five days each week, including weekends.
