Job Description

Position Summary Insight Editions is seeking a commercially driven and entrepreneurial sales professional to grow our presence across FAIRE and other specialty retail channels while identifying and developing new business opportunities. This role combines account management, marketplace optimization, and proactive business development to expand distribution, drive revenue growth, and increase brand visibility across independent retailers, gift stores, museums, lifestyle retailers, and emerging sales channels. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and relationship-focused, with a passion for discovering new opportunities and turning them into sustainable revenue streams. Key Responsibilities FAIRE Marketplace Management Own the day-to-day management and growth of Insight Editions' FAIRE storefront. Optimize product listings, merchandising, promotions, collections, and seasonal campaigns. Monitor sales performance, conversion rates, retailer acquisition, and reorder trends. Analyze marketplace data and provide actionable recommendations to maximize sales and profitability. Coordinate new title launches and ensure products are positioned effectively for specialty retailers. Maintain inventory visibility and work cross-functionally to support fulfillment and retailer satisfaction. New Business Development Identify, prospect, and onboard new specialty retail accounts across North America. Research emerging retail trends and uncover new distribution opportunities. Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective accounts and partnerships. Present Insight Editions' publishing program and seasonal assortments to prospective customers. Sales & Account Growth Support key specialty accounts with sell-in presentations, title recommendations, and promotional opportunities. Drive reorder business and identify opportunities for assortment expansion. Collaborate with marketing, publishing, and operations teams to maximize account performance. Track account performance against sales targets and growth objectives. Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and business reviews for leadership. Market Intelligence & Commercial Strategy Monitor competitive activity, consumer trends, and marketplace best practices. Identify high-potential categories, licenses, and product formats for specialty channels. Provide customer feedback and market insights to publishing, marketing, and product teams. Contribute to broader specialty sales strategies and growth initiatives. Qualifications 2-3 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, e-commerce, or specialty retail. Experience with FAIRE, wholesale marketplaces, publishing, gift products, or consumer products preferred. Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Proven ability to identify opportunities and drive revenue growth. Analytical mindset with experience interpreting sales and marketplace performance data. Highly organized with strong project management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and sales reporting tools. Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. What Success Looks Like Within the first year, this individual will: Grow FAIRE sales and retailer acquisition. Increase reorder rates and account retention. Open new specialty and non-traditional retail accounts. Build a healthy new-business pipeline with measurable conversion. Establish Insight Editions as a leading supplier within specialty gift and lifestyle retail channels. Deliver actionable market insights that influence commercial strategy and title positioning.
Compensation :
$24-$26.50 per hour, depending on experience.
