This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Santa Monica, CA showroom, working 37-40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, creativity, and product knowledge, using their understanding of client needs to inspire customers, build lasting relationships, and drive sales in a luxury, design-led environment. Farrow & Ball is a luxury British lifestyle brand that prides itself on creating richly pigmented paint and handcrafted wallpaper, using print methods dating back 300 years and the finest quality ingredients. Established in Dorset in 1946, we have grown over the last 80 years and now proudly have 60 showrooms worldwide with a global network of stockists. The key to our success is the people behind the paint: from the teams handcrafting each tin to our showroom staff and support functions. Our shared passion ensures customers have a positive and engaging experience at every stage of their journey with us. If you have a genuine passion for colour and a desire to drive sales, we can offer you a rewarding and challenging career at Farrow & Ball. What we expect from you as a Lead Sales Associate Support the showroom team in achieving sales targets and driving showroom growth. Proactively identify, develop, and convert new sales opportunities. Cultivate strong relationships with both existing and potential members of the Architecture & Design (A&D) community. Promote Farrow & Ball and inspire clients by sharing brand stories and technical information. Maintain the Farrow & Ball image to the highest standards, ensuring the showroom, stockroom, and all displays are neat and tidy at all times. Resolve difficult client issues and escalate to your Showroom Manager when necessary. Possess a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures and consistently follow and enforce company guidelines related to showroom operations. Open and close the showroom, including securing the facility, arming and disarming the security system, and completing all required point-of-sale (POS) opening and closing procedures. Utilize technology platforms, including a point-of-sale (POS) system, Microsoft Office applications, and iPads, to complete transactions and support the day-to-day operations of the showroom. Perform the physical demands of the role, including maintaining the showroom, unloading and unpacking inventory, stocking merchandise, and safely lifting and moving paint cans and other products as part of daily showroom operations. Key Attributes A consultative approach to working with clients, with the ability to understand their needs and confidently guide them through the sales process. Experience in luxury, design-led sales, interiors, or a related field is highly desirable. A proactive approach to customer outreach and a genuine passion for colour, paint, and interior design. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A strong eye for colour, design, and visual presentation. Knowledge of paint, wallpaper, and related products is preferred. Comfortable using and troubleshooting a variety of business technologies, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, Microsoft Office applications, and iPads.
