Position Overview As an Entry Level Engineering Sales Representative , you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and fostering long-term relationships with clients. You will collaborate closely with the field sales team to understand client needs, provide technical expertise, and offer tailored solutions that address specific challenges. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical knowledge with sales acumen to deliver value to our clients while contributing to the company's overall success.
  • This position requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
Key Responsibilities 1. Identify and prioritize key customers, prospects, and opportunities for business development. 2. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities. 3. Review and identify DEGCON Industries supply opportunities within construction plans & detailed specifications and generate accurate and detailed itemized estimates. 4. Review and identify DEGCON Industries fabricated steel component opportunities within construction plans & detailed specifications and generate accurate and detailed shop drawings. 5. Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to understand product capabilities, features and benefits, and effectively communicate solutions with clients. 6. Professionally communicate in both verbal and written form on a timely basis with clients to ensure DEGCON Industries maintains its customer leading satisfaction standards. 7. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and complete various administrative tasks required by DEGCON Industries, its customers and governing bodies to ensure alignment, accuracy and timely and accurate completion of projects. 8. Maintain quality records and support company initiatives to ensure proper administration and execution of company and customer objectives. 9. Be prepared with summary and detailed project status reports as needed. 10. Be informed on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and mitigate threats. 11. Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote and expand the reach of the DEGCON Industries brand. 12. Participate in company, departmental and customer initiatives as directed. 13. Other duties may arise from time to time as assigned to the employee. Working Conditions & Expectations
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times while representing DEGCON Industries.
  • Punctuality and professional engagement at all times at DEGCON Industries offices and while representing DEGCON Industries.
  • Ability to travel overnight, as needed, to meet with clients, attend events, and participate in business meetings.
  • Ability to collaborate with all customers, internal personnel and other stakeholders with professional courtesy while advancing company directives
  • Ability to work effectively in an independent setting as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
