You will support customers across orders, inventory, purchasing, and general enquiries while collaborating closely with internal teams to resolve issues and provide effective solutions. This is a long-term opportunity within a stable team that is seeking someone who wishes to grow and remain in the role over time. Responsibilities Act as the single point of accountability for assigned product lines and customer accounts, taking ownership of service and follow-through. Support customers with purchase orders, inventory orders, shipping enquiries, and general account needs, ensuring timely and accurate responses. Conduct research to understand customer issues, identify root causes, and provide clear, effective solutions. Partner with internal departments, including purchasing, accounting, and inventory, to resolve enquiries and coordinate customer support. Provide regular status updates and maintain strong, proactive communication with customers and internal stakeholders. Perform high-volume data entry with a high degree of accuracy, and prepare reports and analysis as required. Utilise ERP systems (including IFS) and Microsoft Excel to manage orders, track activity, and produce reports. Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive retention, satisfaction, and repeat business. Manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring deadlines and service levels are met. Assist with general account management activities, including maintaining accurate records and documentation. Support purchasing, inventory, and order management processes to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Essential Skills 2-5 years of experience in inside sales, customer support, or account support (non-call centre), with consideration for candidates with 1+ years of strong relevant experience. Proven experience working in an ERP system (IFS preferred but not essential). Experience supporting purchasing, inventory, or order management processes. Strong data entry skills with the ability to handle high volumes accurately. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong overall Microsoft Office skills. Demonstrated ability to multitask, stay organised, and manage multiple customer requests simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through on tasks and commitments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented approach. Comfortable working onsite on a full-time basis. Ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs as required by the role. Additional Skills & Qualifications Exposure to international customers and global customer service environments. Mechanical aptitude or a genuine interest in technical products and machinery. Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Background in inside sales support or account management within an industrial or technical setting. Familiarity with inventory and purchasing workflows in an ERP environment. Why Work Here? You will join a business whose high-speed machines form the backbone of can-making operations worldwide, recognised for their productivity, reliability, and technical leadership. The organisation provides complete solutions, from individual machines and line modules to full facility design, build, and commissioning, ensuring you work with market-leading products and engineering innovations. The culture is grounded in clear values: Safety, Quality, Sustainability, Technology, and Customer Happiness, with a strong emphasis on respect, ethical conduct, and adding real value for customers. You will benefit from a supportive, hands-on team environment and a long-term career path, alongside a benefits package that is considered strong within the industry, including three weeks of vacation and a 6% company match with a 401K after 90 days. Work Environment You will work as part of a close-knit, four-person team in a fully onsite role within a standard 40-hour work week, with occasional flexibility for on-call, evening, or weekend support when needed. The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, with a hands-on, supportive leadership approach focused on training and developing the right person. You will work extensively with ERP systems (such as IFS), Microsoft Office, and particularly Microsoft Excel to manage orders, inventory, and reporting. The setting is aligned with a manufacturing-focused business that designs and supports high-speed machinery, so you will interact with technical and operational teams regularly.
