Job Description
Position Summary The Sales Specialist 2 (Design) builds on the core responsibilities of the Sales Specialist role by adding advanced room design expertise, Special Orders support, and Commercial and Trade guest acquisition. This role executes the Living Spaces Guest Engagement Model to create a positive, repeatable guest experience while meeting targeted Sales per Hour and adhering to all KPI standards. Leveraging design experience and training, the Sales Specialist 2 (Design) partners with both residential and commercial guests to curate tailored solutions that meet their needs and serves as an in‑store liaison for Commercial and Trade guests. Position Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Support the Commercial and Trade team in managing existing and new commercial accounts, including end‑to‑end sales processing and guest support. Conduct outreach to new commercial guests following their first purchase using Tableau‑generated reports, while tracking and reporting weekly and monthly commercial acquisition performance for the store. Coordinate and execute in‑store events and national tradeshows, including registration management, cross‑functional coordination with operations, and furniture logistics and delivery. Maintain store readiness by completing daily task lists and executing style guides to ensure the store is consistently "Grand Opening" ready. Demonstrate and drive proficiency in the Living Spaces Guest Engagement Model by aligning guest engagement behaviors to expected sales outcomes and meeting or exceeding Sales per Hour performance thresholds. Oversee graphic design deliverables for the Commercial and Trade team while supporting guests with design projects using company software for both in‑person and virtual environments. Provide personalized design guidance by leveraging strong product knowledge and brand design inspiration to present customized room solutions, including furniture, fabrics, and accessories, aligned to guest needs Review and approve Special Orders submitted by other Sales Specialists to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of lead acquisition processes while overseeing tracking and reporting of Commercial and Trade guest acquisitions for the store and outside sales team. Qualifications Education/Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent required . Minimum 2 years of retail experience in a direct customer interactive environment. High volume experience is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
