Job Description
The Showroom Design & Sales Consultant assists clients in selecting and ordering tile that is suitable for the client's taste, space, and application. By listening to the client and offering expert advice, the Consultant will ensure the client is happy with their selection, has picked an appropriate material for a problem free installation and has provided a smooth and pressure free customer service experience. When necessary the Consultant will temper the client's expectations regarding ordering and delivery timeline, material suitability, and other potential factors. After the client leaves the showroom with a selection made, it is up to the Consultant to ensure the material is ordered or transferred accurately and as specified, notify the Warehouse Manager of delivery requirements when applicable and be a continued resource to clients.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of theShowroom Manager:
- Assist clients with selecting their tile by listening to their needs, suggesting appropriate materials for their project, price range and timeline, and ensuring product availability.
- Accurately determine and confirm quantities for tile and accessories per the instructions of the homeowner and installer/ contractor.
- Inform clients of material lead times, return policies and any other pertinent details early and often throughout the selection and ordering process.
- Accurately and timely place and transfer the clients order as appropriate.
- Monitor open orders and follow up with customers for order pick up.
- Provide input on new tile lines, sample board design and showroom organization.
- Perform other tasks and projects at the discretion of the Showroom Manager and Genrose Stone + Tile Management.
- Monitor supply levels of stone and tile samples and accessories, and restock displays.
- Build and foster relationships with interior designers, personnel, contractors and customers.
- Organize and maintain showroom neatness, cleanliness and integrity.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and workplace ethics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
