Job Description

Role Purpose Responsible for carrying out assignments handed down by the General Sales Manager or Sales Manager. Maintains organizing the lot in order to provide easy access for customers; this includes being proactive about hazardous conditions such as snow or ice, and promptly removing any debris. Taking pictures of cars provided that will go on to our internet for resale purposes. Going on "swaps" or car deliveries to other dealers. Leadership This role does not manage others. Core Accountabilities Ensure that new & used vehicles displayed on the lot are arranged in a neat, attractive manner. Any "holes" must be filled with another retail unit. Regularly rotate used car line positions to give an appearance of freshness to inventory. Advise management of any necessary mechanical or reconditioning work. Run errands related to sale of vehicles. This includes but is not limited to trips to DMV (CT or out of state), emissions, gas station, and other dealerships. Dust all vehicles on the showroom floor on a daily basis. Maintain upkeep of exterior of property (picking up trash on ground, etc.). This includes assisting in snow removal as needed and requires shoveling, sanding, cleaning off and moving vehicles, and assisting with plowing. Perform miscellaneous jobs within the dealership as directed by management. This may include errands, washing vehicles, janitorial and other duties. Competencies and Qualifications Valid Driver license High School Diploma Able to follow multi-step directions and maintain a high level of attention to detail Act as an advocate for teammates Possesses effective communication skills: oral, listening. Works well with customers, promotes a positive image of the company, strives to solve issues raised by customers.
