Job Description
Client is an independent, full-service real estate law and title firm specializing in residential and commercial title insurance and real estate transactions. Our growing Firm has established a positive work culture that focuses on exceptional client service, team member satisfaction, and work-life balance .We are currently seeking an experienced, confident, and motivated Business Development Representative to join our team. This person will have at least 5+ years of experience in title insurance sales, marketing, or business development in the Central Florida area. The right fit may also be presented with an opportunity to develop this position into a director or C-level position as well. As a Business Development Representative, your work will be primarily outside of the office.
In sales, you cannot effectively market a service if the team behind you doesn't deliver as promised. We understand that. We excel by focusing on ensuring that our performance actually matches our customer service promises. Our main goal for this position is for there to be a truly seamless transition from being a potential customer to whom our services are explained by this team member, to an actual customer receiving the promised benefits from our title team.
As a candidate, you must have a robust knowledge of the field and, while not expected in this position, you would nevertheless be competent and comfortable handling closings or processing if the need were to ever arise. Being a "self-starter", comfortable setting your own appointments and developing engagements (such as lunch-and-learns, sponsorships, and presentations), must come naturally to you. You are the type of person who gets truly excited when given the freedom and space to develop new initiatives and engagement methods.
Responsibilities:
Maintain meaningful contact with existing clients and referral partnersEngage potential clients and referral partners via in-person, print, and virtual meansDevelop and offer free educational seminars in conjunction with the Firm's marketing team and underwritersEngage with Title Team on a regular basis to discuss marketing initiatives, cultivate ideas, and promote team mentalityConfront challenges to success and work with the team to develop solutionsBuild long-term trusting relationships with clientsReport to the Chief Operating Officer and Operations Manager on a regular basis to discuss goals, metrics, challenges, and solutionsStay up-to-date with developments in industry, services, and offeringsHave (or rapidly develop) base-level knowledge of legal services offered by the Firm for educational purposesRequirements:
Must be a Florida Licensed Title Agent (LTA)Excellent customer service and communication skills5+ years in the title industry, with substantive relationships with vendors, referral partners, and other relevant partiesMust display a high level of professionalism in written, verbal, and non-verbal communications both on and off the clockCompetence and high comfort level working in a team environment, as well as being a "self-starter" capable of accomplishing goals without constant supervisionJob Type:

Our Title team works Monday through Friday, 9 AM- 5 PM. Our offices close at 2:00 pm on Fridays, subject to the needs of the Firm. However, this job will allow a great deal of flexibility in schedule, since work will be performed largely out of the office and sometimes in the evening or on the weekends.Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation is competitive and will vary based upon experience and existing relationships. This is a salaried position WITH commission. You will be entitled to commission based upon origination, and possibly commission for maintenance of certain existing client relationships.Job Type:
