Accounting Manager Position Overview The Sales Order Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end processing of customer sales orders, ensuring they are entered accurately, fulfilled efficiently, and billed correctly within the ERP system. This role works closely with the Senior Accountant, AP/AR Clerk, and Sales team to support a seamless order-to-cash process while delivering an exceptional customer experience that reflects IRISS's mission of Humanizing Safety. Key Responsibilities Process customer sales orders accurately and in a timely manner. Review orders for completeness, pricing, product availability, and shipping requirements. Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Production, Purchasing, Shipping, and Accounting to ensure smooth order fulfillment. Monitor order status and proactively communicate updates to customers and internal teams. Resolve order discrepancies, shipping issues, pricing concerns, and customer inquiries. Maintain accurate customer and order records within the ERP and CRM systems. Prepare order confirmations, invoices, and other sales-related documentation as needed. Assist with returns, credits, and order modifications. Ensure compliance with company policies and established order processing procedures. Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance customer satisfaction. Qualifications High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in sales order processing, customer service, sales support, or a similar administrative role. Experience working with ERP systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, Rootstock or similar) preferred. CRM experience, preferably Salesforce, is a plus. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Knowledge of inventory, shipping, and order fulfillment processes. Familiarity with international orders and export documentation is a plus.
