Job Description

Position Summary The Door Quote/Order Coordinator is responsible for preparing accurate quotations and converting approved quotes into production-ready work orders for the door manufacturing plant. This position works closely with the outside sales team, scheduling, and production departments to ensure orders are complete, accurate, and released to production efficiently. The Door Quote/Order Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining order accuracy, supporting production scheduling, and ensuring manufacturing specifications are clearly communicated throughout the plant. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesQuoting & Estimating Prepare accurate quotations for interior, exterior, fiberglass, steel, wood, and specialty door products. Review sales requests to determine product requirements. Verify door sizes, handing, swing, jamb specifications, machining, glass, hardware preparation, and special manufacturing requirements. Calculate pricing using company pricing systems and vendor pricing. Ensure quotations meet established company margin goals. Revise quotations as requested by the sales team. Order Processing Convert approved quotations into production-ready work orders. Review every order for completeness and manufacturing accuracy prior to release. Verify dimensions, product specifications, finishes, hardware, glass, and machining requirements. Research product availability and lead times. Place orders with vendors for materials needed. Maintain complete and organized electronic order records. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Experience in the door, millwork, building materials, or construction industry strongly preferred. Knowledge of residential door systems is highly desirable. Excellent mathematical and measurement skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively across sales, purchasing, and production departments. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer. Frequent walking throughout the office. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
