(PSIF) is a designer, manufacturer, and distributor of fluid power systems for the Industrial, Space, and Entertainment industries. Our mission is to provide high-quality hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components to meet the diverse needs of our customers throughout the Southeast. Summary We are seeking a Technical Support/Customer Service Representative to support our customers and outside sales team by providing product expertise, application guidance, and responsive customer service. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, recommending appropriate solutions, and supporting the quoting and order process from initial inquiry through fulfillment. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical aptitude who enjoys problem-solving and collaborating directly with customers and internal teams. This is a high-profile role within our company, providing broad exposure, foundational skills, and the opportunity to advance into more senior positions. Responsibilities Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries, including product selection, technical questions, and order support Review customer requirements and recommend appropriate products or solutions based on application needs Assist outside sales team with quotes, order processing, and technical support Interpret specifications, drawings, and part requirements to ensure accurate product selection Cross-reference components between manufacturers and identify equivalent or alternative solutions Support troubleshooting efforts by collaborating with customers and vendors to resolve product or application issues Coordinate with internal teams (purchasing, engineering, production) to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment Maintain accurate records in ERP system, including quotes, orders, and customer interactions Assist in identifying opportunities for value-added solutions or system improvements Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude: experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, or motion control systems preferred Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, or technical support role preferred Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and part data Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail Effective communication skills, both with customers and internal teams Comfortable working in an ERP system and managing multiple priorities Team-oriented with a proactive approach to supporting others Key Attributes for Success Customer-focused mindset with a sense of urgency Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload Willingness to learn and grow technical knowledge Ability to bridge the gap between technical requirements and customer needs Benefits & Perks At PSIF, we don't just work here
