Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Consultant to join our furniture store team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, assist customers in selecting furniture and home décor products that meet their needs, and contribute to achieving store sales goals. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and a passion for creating positive shopping experiences. Key Responsibilities Greet customers and provide a welcoming shopping experience. Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate furniture, mattresses, and home décor products. Explain product features, benefits, pricing, warranties, and financing options. Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Follow up with customers regarding orders, deliveries, and satisfaction. Maintain an organized, attractive, and well-stocked showroom. Stay informed about current products, promotions, and industry trends. Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals. Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and store events as needed. Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous retail sales experience preferred; furniture or home furnishings experience is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers. Goal-oriented with a proven ability to achieve sales targets. Basic computer skills and experience using point-of-sale systems. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings (until 6 P.M.), Saturdays, and most holidays. Store is closed every Sunday. Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed. Preferred Skills Knowledge of furniture styles, materials, and interior design principles. Experience with financing programs and sales tracking systems. Strong problem-solving and customer service abilities. Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base pay plus commission. Work Environment This position is based in a retail showroom environment and involves frequent interaction with customers. Pay:
$55,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
