Job Description
Inside Sales & Customer Support Respond to customer and dealer calls and emails regarding parts, pricing, availability, orders, and delivery status Identify the correct parts using parts manuals, diagrams, BOMs, and the ERP system Prepare quotes and enter sales orders accurately, including customer, pricing, quantity, shipping, and delivery information Follow up on open quotes, backorders, and customer requests to close sales and keep customers informed Assist customers with troubleshooting and selecting appropriate replacement parts Identify appropriate upsell and cross-sell opportunities and support outside sales representatives and the dealer network Maintain accurate customer records, notes, and order history Order Pulling & Fulfillment Pull customer orders from inventory using the sales order or pick list Verify part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and condition before staging orders for shipment or pickup Stage, package, label, and organize orders for efficient and accurate handoff to the customer or carrier Immediately communicate shortages, damaged items, discrepancies, or production constraints that may delay fulfillment Maintain organized order-staging and parts-picking areas and follow established safety and material-handling procedures Inbound & Outbound Freight Coordination Coordinate inbound and outbound freight deliveries, including pickups, delivery appointments, and dock schedules Obtain freight quotes and select approved carriers based on cost, service level, timing, and shipment requirements Prepare and verify bills of lading, shipping labels, packing lists, and other required freight documentation Provide carriers with accurate shipment dimensions, weights, addresses, contact information, and special handling instructions Track shipments, communicate status and delays, confirm delivery, and maintain shipment records Coordinate with customers, vendors, warehouse personnel, production, and carriers to ensure material and finished goods are ready when scheduled Assist with resolving freight damage, shortages, missed pickups, delivery issues, and claims documentation Cross-Functional Coordination & Continuous Improvement Coordinate with sales, production, inventory, and accounting to resolve order, availability, billing, and shipping issues Prioritize urgent orders and freight needs while balancing customer commitments and operational capacity Maintain organized sales, shipping, and freight records in the appropriate system Recommend improvements that reduce order errors, freight costs, delays, and unnecessary handling
