Duties Coordinate and negotiate freight shipments between shippers and carriers, ensuring cost-effective and reliable transportation solutions Manage transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to schedule pickups, track shipments, and update delivery statuses Develop and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL), carriers, and customers to facilitate smooth communication and service excellence Monitor freight costs, pricing strategies, and demand planning to optimize profitability and operational efficiency Oversee compliance with transportation safety regulations, international trade laws, and regulatory standards governing shipping logistics Analyze supply chain data to identify process improvements, reduce transit times, and enhance inventory control measures Support warehouse distribution activities such as shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, picking & packing, and materials handling when necessary Ensure regulatory compliance for all shipments including proper documentation for international trade and hazardous materials handling Skills Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including inventory management, procurement, category management, and sourcing strategies Proficiency with McLeod transportation management systems (TMS) Experience with freight forwarding, shipping logistics, road transportation operations, fleet management, and dispatching processes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholders in logistics operations Knowledge of transportation safety regulations and regulatory compliance standards governing freight movement across regions Leadership experience in team management within logistics environments is preferred Join us as a Freight Broker where your expertise will propel our logistics operations forward! $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
