Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Coordinator to join our growing team. The Sales Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting our sales operations, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background, a deep understanding of the firearms industry, and extensive knowledge of distribution channels and dealer networks.
Key Responsibilities Sales Support:
Assist the sales team with order processing, preparing quotes, tracking shipments, and resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner.
Dealer Network Management:
Maintain and expand relationships with existing dealers and buy-group members, ensuring they have the necessary product information, marketing materials, and support.
Distribution Channel Oversight:
Coordinate with distributors to monitor inventory levels, track sales trends, and ensure smooth product allocation across various channels.
Customer Service:
Act as a primary point of contact for dealer and distributor inquiries regarding product availability, pricing, and order status.
Market Research:
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demand to help identify new sales opportunities.
Data & Reporting:
Maintain accurate sales records in the CRM database and generate regular reports on sales performance, inventory, and market feedback.
Compliance:
Ensure all sales processes, documentation, and transfers strictly adhere to federal, state, and local firearms regulations (ATF/4473/NFA where applicable).
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of professional sales experience, preferably within the firearms, outdoor, or defense industries.
Firearms Knowledge:
A firm, comprehensive understanding of firearms, ammunition, components, and industry terminology.
Industry Networks:
Proven experience working directly with standard firearms distribution channels, two-step distribution models, and independent dealer networks.
Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with B2B clients.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with CRM software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Location:
Must be local to or willing to commute to Caldwell, ID. Preferred Skills Familiarity with ATF compliance regulations and manufacturing/distribution record-keeping. Experience attending industry trade shows (such as SHOT Show) to represent a brand and engage with dealers.
