Dental Treatment Coordinator / Sales Coordinator Position Overview Elgin office is seeking a confident, motivated, and personable Treatment Coordinator with a strong sales background to join our growing implant and oral surgery practice. This is not a traditional front-desk Treatment Coordinator position. This role is heavily focused on patient relationships, treatment presentation, sales, follow-up, and case acceptance. Our office specializes in dental implants, full-arch implant treatment (All-on-X), oral surgery, extractions, wisdom teeth, and sedation dentistry. Many of our patients are making significant decisions about their health, confidence, finances, and quality of life. We need someone who can guide them through that decision with empathy while also being comfortable asking for the sale. The ideal candidate is competitive, organized, personable, persistent, goal-oriented, and comfortable discussing high-value treatment and finances. Dental experience is preferred, but a strong background in consultative or high-ticket sales is extremely valuable. Primary Responsibilities Treatment & Sales Meet one-on-one with patients following their consultation with the doctor. Present treatment plans clearly and confidently. Explain treatment costs, payment options, financing, deposits, and next steps. Build genuine relationships with patients and understand what is motivating them to seek treatment. Help patients work through concerns regarding cost, fear, timing, financing, or treatment. Confidently ask patients to move forward with treatment. Collect deposits and secure surgery/treatment dates. Maintain a strong focus on treatment acceptance and office production goals. Create urgency when appropriate without making patients feel pressured. Provide a professional, compassionate, high-end patient experience from consultation through treatment. Follow-Up & Lead Management A large part of this position is what happens after the consultation.
The Treatment Coordinator will:
Follow up consistently with patients who did not schedule treatment during their consultation. Maintain an organized pipeline of unscheduled treatment. Make outbound calls, send texts, and communicate with prospective patients. Re-engage patients who previously expressed interest in treatment. Follow up on financing applications and incomplete applications. Document every follow-up attempt and patient conversation. Identify why patients are not moving forward and determine appropriate next steps. Never allow a strong treatment opportunity to simply disappear because the patient said, "I need to think about it."
