You're not looking for a maintenance route. You're looking for a territory you can grow. Joe Tea has been selling premium iced teas, lemonades, and kettle-cooked chips since 1996. Our products are already carried throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, and we're continuing to expand aggressively across independent retail, convenience, grocery, deli, café, and foodservice accounts. We're looking for a driven independent sales representative who knows how to open doors, build relationships quickly, and close business consistently. This is a true hunter role focused on new account acquisition and territory growth. We provide leads, support, and a product line with strong repeat sales. You focus on getting placements and building the market. About Joe Tea Founded in 1996, Joe Tea is a family-owned beverage and snack company known for its premium 20 oz glass bottled teas and lemonades, made with cane sugar and clean ingredients, along with our retro kettle-cooked potato chips. Our products have built a loyal following over nearly three decades through independent retailers, delis, convenience stores, markets, cafés, and specialty accounts across multiple regions. The Role Your primary responsibility is to generate new business and expand our retail footprint throughout Chicagoland. This role is heavily focused on prospecting, pitching, relationship-building, and closing new accounts. Minimal merchandising or account maintenance is required. Responsibilities Prospect and close new retail accounts throughout the Chicago area Work company-provided lead lists while also identifying your own opportunities Build relationships with store owners and decision-makers Conduct product samplings and sales presentations Plan efficient daily sales routes and manage your territory independently Submit account onboarding information and maintain CRM updates Coordinate with our internal customer service team to ensure smooth account setup and reorder flow Many store owners and key decision-makers are most accessible during morning hours, so this role is ideal for someone comfortable starting early and getting in front of accounts before peak business hours. Compensation This is an independent contractor (1099) position designed to reward high performers.
Compensation Structure Includes:
Weekly base pay unlocked by minimum account target High commission payouts on new account orders Additional commissions tied to repeat/reorder volume Retention and growth bonuses for active accounts Gas/travel support Company-provided lead generation Flexible scheduling and autonomy Strong performers have the opportunity to build substantial recurring commission income by developing long-term active accounts.
