Job Description Job Description Optris is a leader in the field of non-contact temperature measurement with a full line of pyrometers and infrared cameras developed to support industrial automation and research applications. Our engineers and physicists pride themselves on designing the highest quality, most accurate, and most innovative infrared temperature measurement solutions for process applications. We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Territory Sales Representative to drive sales growth and market expansion for our portfolio of non-contact pyrometers and thermal imaging cameras. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, consultative selling skills, and strong relationship management to support customers across industrial, manufacturing, and R D environments. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets. Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with OEMs, distributors, and end-users. Expand market presence in industries such as steel, glass, plastic, semiconductor, automotive, and energy. Customer Engagement Conduct onsite visits, product demonstrations, and technical presentations. Provide consultative support to customers on applications involving temperature measurement and thermal imaging. Build long-term relationships with key accounts and channel partners. Technical Expertise Maintain deep knowledge of non-contact pyrometers, thermal imaging cameras, and related measurement technologies. Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to tailor solutions to customer needs. Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies. Operational Excellence Manage territory sales pipeline, forecasting, and reporting using CRM tools. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in compliance with company policies. Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and technical seminars. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related technical discipline (preferred). 5+ years of outside sales experience in industrial instrumentation, sensors, or imaging systems. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical field. Strong understanding of temperature measurement technologies and industrial applications. Experience in a technical field, sales, and/or customer support Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to demonstrate our products in a wide array of industrial applications. Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region. This position requires the ability to maintain a valid U.S. driver's license Desired Attributes Self-motivated, results-driven, and customer-focused. Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Skilled at translating complex technical concepts into clear customer value propositions. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities. Location & Travel Based within the assigned region (flexible within major industrial hubs).
