With four growing locations and a strong reputation for quality and reliability, we are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Inside Sales Representative to support our continued growth throughout Indiana Company Mission To embrace the responsibility of serving our team, clients, and communities with integrity, delivering quality products that foster lifelong customer relationships. Position Summary The Inside Sales Representative is an experienced sales representative responsible for supporting walk-in and call-in customers while serving as a key sales resource within the branch. This Inside Sales Representative will demonstrate a strong product knowledge and sales expertise, while also leading by example. This role assists in sales execution, customer escalation, and process improvement while remaining hands-on in daily operations, building lasting relationships with repeat customers and supporting their projects by anticipating needs and recommending the right solutions. Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Sales & Customer Support Serve as a trusted resource for contractors, municipalities, and project teams by providing knowledgeable product support and responsive service. Follow up and follow through with customers to sell products, resolve issues, and answer technical and application-based questions. Manage more complex or higher-value customer accounts and sales opportunities. Prepare detailed and accurate quotes, sales orders, invoices, and customer returns. Proactively follow up on quotes, open orders, and customer requests to ensure customers always know they're taken care of. Serve as a point of escalation for customer concerns when needed. Provide product recommendations for pipe, valves, fittings, geotextiles, geogrids, erosion control, and drainage products. Maintain clear, friendly, and professional communication across phone, email, and in-person interactions. Contribute to a High-Performance Team Collaborate closely with sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to deliver a smooth customer experience. Take pride in helping customers succeed and contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment. Help maintain strong sales processes, pricing accuracy, and service standards. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, customer communication, and overall service quality. Perform other work-related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, required. 5+ years of inside sales experience, preferably in industrial, construction, distribution, or related industries. Formal sales training or structured sales methodology experience preferred. Proven ability to handle complex customer needs. Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak effectively, listen to customer needs, and guide them to solutions. Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English, both oral and written. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. The skill and ability to learn and utilize the computer and Sage ERP. Must have mechanical & technical aptitude. Ability to learn products and applications. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering data. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
