Job Description

Koenig is currently searching for a Lawn and Landscaping Equipment Sales professional to support the enterprise in the Knightstown, IN business territory.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain mutual business relationships with residential, commercial and governmental customers in an assigned geography consistent with their needs/wants and dealership margin potential. Accept primary responsibility for the new equipment market penetration at assigned dealership. Regularly and consistently call on all assigned accounts and maintain their profiles completely and accurately. Coordinate the merchandising of new and used complete goods consistent with a clean and professional dealership image. Promote dealership accessibility by scheduling and working extended seasonal hours. Ensure a positive retail experience for all customers. Offer equipment solutions (new and pre-owned) including appropriate financing at pricing (margin) which covers three times (3X) base compensation. Thoroughly evaluate all machines offered on trade, providing necessary information for resale. Promote Performance Edge (planned maintenance) and Implement Membership (compact tractor attachments) during the selling process of eligible new equipment. Provide back-up for Ag Sales for in-store sales for new and used equipment, for non K/R customers. Pass on all new sales leads to Ag Sales of K/R customers. Assist in annual budget planning and goals planning and implementation geared towards KEI metrics. Attend learning sessions at dealership and external locations as required. Assist in the planning, budgeting and expense control of the department. Work with Lot Coordinator, assisting with the lot display and merchandising. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-5 years of applicable experience in a Dealership, or environment of a similar nature. Strong customer relation and inter-personal skills, ability to communicate effectively and attention to detail. A good working knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies. Strong time management skills. Commitment and adhere to process, maintain standards and address issues in a timely, professional manner. A good understanding of financial reporting principles relative to complete goods (new and used) operations. Koenig Equipment, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
