Job Description

PURPOSE The Corporate Sales Operations Specialist will serve as a vital part of the organization in supporting key direct and indirect channel partners. As the primary contact for key partner support, the sales operations specialist will liaise between the various departments within SMC to bring about resolution to customer concerns while supporting strategic initiatives, operational escalations, and ad-hoc projects. This position will assist with research and analysis of data related to various areas of the business, with the focus of supporting sales and partner alike in aligning business strategy and optimizing business processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Responsible for daily management of key account partnerships including organizing and attending meetings, managing customer portals, facilitating document execution, managing KPIs/scorecards, and liaising across all levels of SMC to facilitate customer needs
  • Drives efficiency by removing administrative burdens, managing data, and optimizing daily workflows so sales representatives can focus entirely on selling
  • Responsible for operational analysis, validation, cleansing, collection, and reporting
  • Retrieve and analyze information / data, including manual files, external websites, and statistical metrics from various sources in support of our sales team initiatives
  • Respond to informational / data inquiries from various groups within the organization
  • Create and publish regularly scheduled and/or ad hoc reports as needed
  • Must be able to collect and track key program statistics and metrics, and monitor/measure program performance
  • Coordinate with appropriate resources to troubleshoot, resolve and improve operational issues, efficiencies, and strength in market
  • Communicate with partners on policy, product changes, and other formal business matters
  • Support the Contract Administrative Group and Management in evaluating, managing, and ensuring compliance with policies and terms of contractual agreements (including Corporate Agreements, Global Agreements, Sales Policy, Rebate Agreements, Strategic Sales Programs etc.)
  • Liaise on cross departmental initiatives for direct and indirect channels
  • Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods
  • May require evening and weekend work in response to the needs of the systems being supported
  • Lift up to 20 pounds
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in business or Operations related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience with business systems, operations, or related fieldwork
  • Demonstrated experience in working with customers, identifying/understanding their needs, and formally documenting business requirements
Communication:
Must be able to read/write/speak and understand English. Must be able to effectively communicate.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with process improvement, project management, and technical knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Excel mastery
  • Experience with analytical skills/tools preferred
