We are currently seeking a self-motivated, energetic person, who will jump on board with our goals of providing pleasant and memorable experiences for all our guests. Kenlake State Park in Aurora, KY offers a beautiful work setting and a positive workplace culture that encourages new ideas and creative approaches to enhancing our guest experience. We are a small resort looking for our next team member to join the Kenlake experience. As the Sales Coordinator, you will fill a vital role by implementing the total sales and marketing efforts of the State Park. The ideal candidate will be incredibly friendly, customer-centric, and love to smile and have fun in a team environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop and maintain relationships with key clients in order to produce group or convention business, to include room sales, food and beverage sales, catering and banquet services. Direct the scheduling of conventions and group activities at the hotel and coordinates with other hotel- level departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients. Develop and maintain good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups and companies and attend out-of-town conventions to generate conventions and group business. Attend trade shows and conferences for the recruitment of new clients. Execute Park-level tactical sales and marketing plans to support overall system-wide sales plans, strategies and programs. Recruit, train, and provide career development for all sales personnel; conducts performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees using the KY Personnel Cabinet's hiring standards and guidelines. Provide sales training and development for all front desk personnel to ensure that all guest inquiries and needs are fulfilled. Manage the departmental budget and monitor sales activities and performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan; accurately report variances and projections. Make outside sales calls in the area to gain clients. Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS
Must have two years hospitality, tourism, sales, meeting planning, business or administrative experience. Substitute

Hospitality, tourism, sales, meeting planning, business or administrative experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
(AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 20 years and one day of age at time of employment. Applicants for employment with the Kentucky State Resort Parks must obtain S.T.A.R. (Server Training in Alcohol Regulations) certification from the Kentucky Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control within six months of employment. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials. Working Conditions Work is typically performed in an office setting. Travel will be required to conduct outside sales calls. Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in
KRS 18A.111.
