Harvey, LA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Computer literacy Project management Organizational skills Clerical experience Guest services Marketing Full Job Description The Sales and Events Coordinator is responsible for the sales efforts and execution of greeting, touring, booking, planning, menu development, and pricing structure with all potential cliental as related to the event industry with best interest and profitability for the business, as well as providing outstanding customer service and organizing memorable events that meet quality expectations. Workdays vary and can include weekends and holidays depending on the event schedule. Job Duties- Develop strategies and plans by utilizing marketing resources and historical data to maximize revenue
- Execute Selling activities including: developing leads via phone calls and internet inquiries, compiling mailing lists and email databases, some outside sales, networking, bridal/trade shows participation
- Conduct tours, host open houses, schedule appointments
- Establishing sales goals, monthly and annually
- Manage the event cycle using Reserve Anywhere software
- Complete contract proposals and negotiations
- Enter bookings, menus, setup and financial requirements
- Create accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEO'S)
- Review and analyze menus and packages periodically and update them accordingly to keep up with guest's satisfaction and profitability
- Keep accurate records and reports; other clerical functions as needed.
- Event planning, design and production while managing all project delivery elements within time limits.
- Organize facilities and manage all events' details such as decor, catering, etc.
- Specify staff requirements and coordinate their activities.
- Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality.
- Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day Job Requirements
- Experience in sales and/or event and catering operations or similar background and/or education
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills with an emphasis on multi-tasking
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Detailed oriented
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office and other programs are a plus
- Good personnel and time management.
