Job Description

Notoco Industries, a CED company, is looking for a driven Sales Trainee / Inside-Outside Sales Representative to join our Kenner, LA team. This is not a basic counter sales job. This is an opportunity to learn the electrical distribution business from the ground up, build real customer relationships, help grow a rebuilding profit center, and develop into a long-term sales or management role within one of the largest electrical distributors in the country. We are looking for someone who is hungry, competitive, coachable, and willing to learn. Electrical experience is helpful, but not required. The right attitude, work ethic, and ability to communicate with people matter more. About Notoco / CED Notoco Industries is a full-line electrical distributor serving contractors, industrial customers, facilities, and businesses throughout the Greater New Orleans market. We supply everything from everyday electrical material to lighting packages, switchgear, wire, conduit, panels, safety products, and project material. As part of CED, our location operates with the feel of a local business but with the backing, buying power, and resources of a national company. Our Kenner branch is in a rebuilding and growth stage, which means the right person will have a real opportunity to make an impact, learn quickly, and grow with the business. What You'll Do You will work directly with our sales and operations team to support customers, quote material, learn products, and help grow accounts.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting electrical contractors and customers at the counter, over the phone, and by email Building quotes for daily material, lighting, gear, wire, conduit, devices, and project packages Learning electrical products, manufacturers, applications, and jobsite needs Following up on quotes, orders, deliveries, backorders, and customer requests Supporting outside sales efforts and eventually helping call on customers Helping identify new sales opportunities with contractors and local businesses Working with vendors and manufacturer reps to source products and solve customer problems Coordinating with warehouse and delivery personnel to make sure orders are handled correctly Developing strong relationships with contractors, purchasing agents, project managers, and field personnel Learning how to read plans, perform takeoffs, and support commercial/residential job quotes Taking ownership of customer issues and seeing them through until resolved Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who wants more than a paycheck.
