Job Description
Looking for a Cool Job in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team representing the industry leaderin HVAC equipment? The Lead Counter Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent sales andservice at the counter at one of our established wholesale HVAC distributorships that carries multiplebrands of equipment, parts and supplies and handling elevated issues. The Lead must be conversantwith and have a solid knowledge of the products sold at the Sales Center. The Lead will assist insupervising and training other Counter Sales Associates as well as assist management with dailyoperations. The ultimate goal of this role is to provide strong customer service in a sales oriented setting.

- Interact with internal and outside salespeople, vendors and contractors.
- As directed by Sales Center Manager, responsible for preparing and completing weekly cyclecounts, timely processing and return of in-warranty items to manufacturers, handling freightclaims for missing or damaged equipment/supplies, handling of intra-store transfers andpromoting sales of monthly specialty items.
- As directed by Sales Center Manager, responsible for the prompt ordering and scheduling thearrival of equipment and supplies for resale; properly track incoming merchandise and specialorders; and assist warehouse personnel when needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of customer credit status and strict maintenance of credit codes onsales to customers.
- Responsible for showroom merchandising and re-stocking product.
- Assist in resolving customer relations problems with both dealers and end users.
- Assist Territory Sales Managers with product information, availability, pricing and special factorswhen needed.
- Complete sales order process for customers with efforts to up-sell associated items.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year experience in HVAC, customer Service, warehousing/distribution or retail.
- Knowledge of air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution levelpreferred.
- Proven success in sales and providing excellent customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving and customer service.
- Ability to work independently and meet assigned goals and objectives in designated time frames.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- A willingness to learn and grow with our Company.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment.
- Experience in a wholesale HVAC equipment supply house preferred.
