Position Type:

Full-Time / Sales At Home Electric is looking for an experienced Outside Sales Representative to help grow our residential and commercial electrical service division. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in the construction industry who understands how jobs are built, how to communicate with homeowners and contractors, and how to close quality electrical projects. We are looking for a motivated, professional salesperson who can meet with customers, evaluate project needs, build trust, and sell electrical work ranging from service upgrades and panel replacements to landscape lighting, EV chargers, and backup generator systems . Responsibilities The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for meeting with potential customers, contractors, builders, and property owners to discuss electrical project needs and provide solutions that fit the customer's goals and budget.

Responsibilities include:

Meeting customers on-site to review electrical needs and project details Selling residential and commercial electrical jobs, including: Panel upgrades and service upgrades Backup generator installations Landscape lighting systems EV charger installations Remodel and new construction electrical work General electrical repairs and upgrades Building relationships with homeowners, general contractors, builders, property managers, and local businesses Gathering accurate job information, photos, measurements, and customer expectations Working with the office and field team to help prepare accurate estimates and proposals Following up with leads, estimates, and past customers Explaining project scope, pricing, warranty, and scheduling expectations clearly Representing At Home Electric in a professional, honest, and reliable manner Helping identify new sales opportunities and referral relationships Maintaining communication with customers from first contact through project approval Qualifications The ideal candidate should have experience in the construction industry and a strong understanding of how residential and commercial projects are sold and completed.

Preferred qualifications:

Prior sales experience in construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, remodeling, generators, or a similar trade Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to understand job site conditions and explain options to customers Comfortable meeting customers in person and walking job sites Self-motivated and able to follow up consistently Professional appearance and attitude Basic understanding of electrical work is preferred Ability to use a phone, email, photos, and basic estimating or CRM software Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check if required Skills We Are Looking For Strong people skills Construction knowledge Confidence in selling larger-ticket jobs Ability to build trust with homeowners and contractors Organized follow-up habits Honest communication Team-focused mindset Desire to grow with the company Compensation Compensation will be based on experience and sales ability.
