Position Explanation:
Provide expeditious and courteous service while maintaining a clean area and a positive outlook. Wait on customers at the counter. Maintain stocked shelves. Keep supervisors advised of product shortages and problems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet customers and handle customer requests promptly and courteously. Enter counter sales tickets into the computer with the necessary catalog numbers, quantities and sufficient description for accurate pricing. Answer the telephone promptly and courteously and handle telephone inquiries and orders promptly and accurately. Sell merchandise, develop and present a sales personality with all customers.
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of plumbing, heating and industrial supply products is a plus.
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit:
Ability to multitask. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Detail orientation. Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) One to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. © 2026 Granite Group
