Role Purpose:
The Inside Sales Representative role provides an excellent opportunity to join a high-performance Sales team operating in the fast growth industrial, biomedical and aerospace sectors. This position is ideal for someone looking to develop a strong base of fundamental sales skills needed for a successful career in sales. This role is responsible for outbound prospecting, lead generation and qualification, customer follow-up, and supporting the sales quoting process. Working closely with Field Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing, the Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in developing new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other sales tools to identify new business opportunities. Research, develop, and qualify sales leads for the Field Sales Manager. Contact prospective customers to introduce HITEC Sensors' products and capabilities. Follow up on existing quotations to answer customer questions, identify next steps, and help move opportunities toward a purchase decision. Re-engage customers and prospects on lost or inactive business opportunities to identify new sales potential. Support Field Sales Representatives by coordinating quotations, tracking opportunities, and maintaining customer communications. Partner with Customer Service to prepare, distribute, and follow up on customer quotations. Maintain accurate customer, contact, and opportunity information in Salesforce or the Company's CRM system. Develop a strong understanding of HITEC's products, applications, and target industries. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Service to deliver exceptional customer experience. Meet established activity goals for outbound calls, lead generation, customer follow-up, and pipeline development. Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Business or a technical discipline Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related sales position preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Salesforce.com.
