Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to help grow our commercial, dealership, and fleet auto body business. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business relationships with used and new car dealerships, commercial fleets, contractors, trucking and delivery companies, rental fleets, municipalities, and other organizations operating multiple vehicles. The ideal candidate is comfortable meeting business owners and managers in person, building relationships, identifying repair needs, and converting prospects into recurring customers. This is a commission-based opportunity with strong income potential for someone who can develop productive long-term accounts. Compensation 10% commission on the labor portion of qualifying jobs generated from accounts you bring to Auto Body Repair Facility, subject to the company commission plan. Successful accounts may send multiple vehicles throughout the year, giving the representative an opportunity to build recurring commission income. Duties Prospect and develop new commercial and wholesale auto body accounts throughout Webster and surrounding communities. Visit dealerships, contractors, commercial fleets, trucking companies, rental operators, municipalities, and other businesses that regularly operate vehicles. Identify and establish relationships with business owners, fleet managers, used car managers, operations managers, and other decision-makers. Present Auto Body Repair Facility's collision repair, cosmetic repair, paint, reconditioning, and fleet repair services. Explain commercial pricing, turnaround expectations, pickup/delivery options, and other available account benefits. Conduct regular follow-up with prospects and existing accounts to generate repeat business. Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate repair solutions. Help convert new prospects into trial jobs and recurring business accounts. Maintain accurate records of contacts, follow-ups, opportunities, and active accounts. Coordinate with shop management regarding estimates, scheduling, special pricing, and customer requirements. Maintain professional relationships with customers before, during, and after repairs. Work independently in the field while consistently developing new business opportunities. Qualifications Experience in outside sales, B2B sales, automotive sales, business development, account management, or a similar customer-facing position is preferred. Automotive or auto body industry experience is helpful but not required. Comfortable visiting businesses and introducing yourself to owners and managers. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to follow up consistently and professionally. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to identify opportunities and move prospects toward a trial job or ongoing business relationship. Professional appearance and attitude when representing the company. Reliable transportation for local business-to-business sales visits. Ability to learn basic auto body repair terminology, pricing concepts, and services. Previous experience working with dealerships, fleets, contractors, or commercial accounts is a plus. About the Opportunity This position is focused on building recurring business, not simply making one-time sales. A dealership, contractor, fleet operator, or other commercial account may send multiple vehicles to the shop throughout the year. The representative who develops productive accounts therefore has the opportunity to create an ongoing source of commissions. Auto Body Repair Facility provides sales guidance, prospecting information, and marketing materials to help the representative develop new accounts. If you are outgoing, persistent, comfortable approaching businesses, and want an opportunity where your income is directly connected to the business you generate, we would like to hear from you.
