Job Description

About Mars Roofing Mars Roofing is a growing exterior remodeling company serving homeowners throughout Maryland and Northern Virginia. For more than a decade, we've built our reputation by providing high-quality roofing, siding, gutter, and exterior solutions backed by exceptional customer service. But we're not just building roofs — we're building careers. We believe great companies are built by great people. Our culture is energetic, competitive, team-oriented, and focused on continuous improvement. We provide our team with the training, tools, coaching, and support they need to succeed while rewarding people who take ownership of their results. At Mars, you don't need years of sales experience to build a successful career. What matters most is your work ethic, attitude, communication skills, coachability, and drive to succeed. If you're competitive, comfortable talking to people, willing to learn, and looking for a career where your income and advancement are tied directly to your performance, we want to meet you. Start Your Career in Sales We're hiring Entry-Level Sales Representatives to join our growing residential sales team. No roofing experience is required. Sales experience is a plus, but it's not required either. We provide hands-on training to teach you our industry, our sales process, how to inspect properties, how to communicate with homeowners, and how to take an opportunity from the first conversation through a signed contract. This is not a desk job. You'll spend much of your time in the field meeting homeowners, generating opportunities, inspecting properties, conducting consultations, and helping customers understand the best options for their homes. For the right person, this is an opportunity to learn a valuable skill, earn based on performance, and build a long-term career in professional sales. What You'll Do Meet and engage with homeowners throughout your assigned territory Generate new opportunities through prospecting, company leads, referrals, and neighborhood outreach Conduct exterior property and roofing inspections Meet with homeowners to understand their needs and concerns Educate customers about the condition of their property and available solutions Present roofing and exterior options clearly and professionally Follow up consistently with prospects and customers Guide customers through the sales process from initial conversation through signed agreement Build strong customer relationships and provide an excellent customer experience Maintain accurate records of leads, appointments, follow-ups, and sales activity Work closely with our production and office teams to ensure smooth project execution Participate in ongoing sales training, coaching, and role-playing Meet weekly and monthly activity and performance goals Continuously develop your sales, communication, and industry knowledge What We're Looking For We're not necessarily looking for someone who has been selling roofing for years. We're looking for someone with the potential and drive to become great at sales. You may be a good fit if you are: Competitive and motivated Comfortable meeting and talking with new people Confident and professional Coachable and willing to learn Goal-oriented and motivated by measurable results Self-motivated and able to work independently Organized and consistent with follow-up Comfortable working outdoors Comfortable climbing ladders and performing roof inspections Able to handle rejection without getting discouraged Reliable and accountable Interested in building a long-term career rather than simply finding another job Experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, athletics, military service, construction, home improvement, or another performance-driven environment can be helpful, but previous sales or roofing experience is not required. We'll Train You You don't need to know roofing before you start. Our training and ongoing coaching will help you develop skills in: Roofing and exterior systems Property and roof inspections Customer communication Prospecting and lead generation In-home consultations Sales presentations Asking the right questions Handling objections Follow-up strategies Closing techniques CRM and sales technology Territory and time management Training doesn't stop after your first few weeks. We believe in continuous coaching and development throughout your career. Compensation & Earning Potential This is a commission-based sales position with uncapped earning potential. For someone who is motivated, follows the training, consistently generates opportunities, and develops strong sales skills, this position provides the opportunity to build a substantial income without a traditional salary ceiling. Why Join Mars? Training & Development We'll teach you the industry, our process, and the skills needed to succeed. Uncapped Earning Potential There is no predetermined ceiling on what you can earn. Real Career Growth We're a growing company, creating opportunities for strong performers to move into leadership, training, and management roles. Ongoing Coaching You'll receive continued sales training, coaching, role-playing, and feedback designed to help you improve. Established Company Join a company with more than a decade of experience serving homeowners throughout Maryland and Northern Virginia.
