Company with a Main Plant located in Westbrook and a Fabrication Plant located in Gorham, Maine, has been offering full-service Precision Machining, Fabrication, Painted and Assembled Machine Products for more than 50 Years. D&G Machine supplies several Nationwide Industries that include Aerospace, Computer Chip Production, Defense Contracts, Medical, Power Generation, and Maine's Paper Industry. The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales by generating quotes, processing orders, and providing exceptional customer service. Key tasks include accurately preparing quotes based on customer specifications, managing customer inquiries and follow-ups, processing sales orders to ensure timely delivery, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure order feasibility. The Inside Sales Representative will also conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and provide feedback to improve sales strategies.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Promotes/sells/secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach. Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business opportunities for the organization's services. Makes telephone calls, sets up in-person visits, provides facility tours and showcases company's capabilities through presentations to existing and prospective customers. Generates and prepares accurate quotes based on customer specifications and requirements. Identifies and understands customer needs to provide tailored solutions. Collaborates with engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility of quotes. Develops and maintains strong relationships with existing and prospective customers. Acts as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and effective communication. Follows up on leads and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the sales process. Process sales orders and ensures timely delivery of products and services. Monitors order status and address any issues that may arise during production and delivery. Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems. Provides periodic territory sales forecasts. Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new services. Works closely with the sales team and other departments to achieve overall company goals. Participates in sales meetings and contributes to team strategies for growth. Keeps abreast of manufacturing applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with manufacturing, marketing and technical service areas and industries to identify new opportunities for potential sales. Attend sales seminars, sales meetings or educational activities to stay up to date on the latest developments, trends, and regulations in the marketplace.COMPETENCIES

Requirements:
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
2- or 4-year degree in a technical field or manufacturing trade. 3
- 5 years of sales, sales support, account, or project management experience Knowledge and experience with welding, fabrication and sheet metal solutions preferred.
