Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused, and relationship-driven Hardscape Salesperson to develop new business, maintain and grow existing customer relationships, and assist professional landscape customers with their hardscape material needs. The Hardscape Salesperson is responsible for both developing new accounts and maintaining and growing existing accounts. This position serves as an important point of contact, helping to select appropriate products, determine quantities, prepare orders and quotes, check product availability, and coordinate with our purchasing and operations teams. Our customers depend on us to provide knowledge, accuracy, responsiveness, and solutions that help them successfully complete their projects and grow their businesses. This is a full-time, seasonal position reflecting the seasonal nature of the landscape and hardscape industry. The position is busiest during the spring, summer, and fall seasons and has minimal work responsibilities during the winter/off-season. Primary Responsibilities Customer Sales & Service
  • Provide knowledgeable, professional, and responsive assistance to landscape contractors and other professional customers.
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with customers.
  • Assist customers in selecting appropriate hardscape products for their projects.
  • Answer questions regarding products, applications, availability, pricing, and lead times.
  • Paccurate quotes and sales orders.
  • Calculate product quantities based on customer measurements and project requirements.
  • Assist customers with special orders and non-stock products.
  • Respond promptly to customer phone calls, emails, and requests for information.
  • Follow up on quotes, orders, special orders, and customer requests.
  • Help resolve customer concerns and problems professionally and efficiently.
  • Look for opportunities to provide additional products and solutions that benefit the customer and their project.
  • Take ownership of customer needs from the initial conversation through completion of the sale.
New Account Development The Hardscape Salesperson is expected to actively contribute to the growth by continually developing new professional customer relationships.
Responsibilities include:
  • Actively identify, prospect, and develop new contractor and professional customer accounts.
  • Introduce prospective customers to products, services, capabilities, and team.
  • Develop relationships with landscape contractors, hardscape installers, designers, builders, and other potential professional customers.
  • Follow up with prospective customers and work to convert opportunities into active accounts.
  • Identify contractors and businesses within our market who could benefit from doing business with us.
  • Learn about prospective customers' businesses, purchasing needs, projects, and challenges.
  • Follow up consistently with prospective customers.
  • Participate in customer visits, industry events, trade shows, vendor events, and other business-development opportunities when appropriate.
  • Work with management to identify opportunities for continued growth within Christensen's market.
Existing Account Management & Growth Developing new customers is important, but maintaining the relationships already earned is equally important.
The Hardscape Salesperson will:
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers.
  • Maintain regular communication with key accounts.
  • Understand customers' businesses, upcoming projects, purchasing patterns, and material needs.
  • Identify opportunities to increase the amount of business with existing customers
  • Follow up on significant quotes and sales opportunities.
  • Re-engage inactive or underdeveloped customer accounts when appropriate.
  • Help customers solve product, availability, scheduling, and project challenges.
  • Provide the level of service and follow-through necessary to earn repeat business and customer loyalty. Benefits
  • Competitive Pay:
    $23.00
  • 25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Medical Insurance:

This is a full-time position during season, with minimal work responsibilities during the winter/off-season. A drug screen and background check are required .
