WHAT YOU'LL DO
As our Exterior Window & Door Sales Consultant you will be knowledgeable & customer-focused individual guiding customers through the selection process, providing expert product recommendations, and coordinating orders for exterior windows and doors. You will be the go-to resource for both walk-in clients and contractor accounts, ensuring a seamless experience from consultation to delivery.
THE NITTY GRITTY
Assess and consult with the customer to arrive at products best suited for the project Create a proposal for the client Close the sale Build and maintain trust while project managing through completion Meet with clients on the jobsite, in home, or in our showroom to demonstrate and review selections Conduct take offs and prepare quotes for installed sales and new construction Point on sale - order - manage sale Closely communicate with subcontractors regarding installation and effectively find a solution for unforeseen issues that may arise Follow up and address concerns during and upon project completion
WHAT YOU NEED
Experience in window and/or door sales, building material industry or home improvement High school GED or equivalent Working knowledge of the MS Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to learn manufacturers quoting tools Understanding of window and doors Understanding of basice construction and remodeling terminology Possess strong math skills for quoting purposes Will to acquire
State of Michigan Salesperson License Interpersonal Skills:
A strong steward of Mans culture and core values Ability to work and perform in a fast-paced environment Ability to solve problems by using strong judgement in analyzing, troubleshooting, and evaluating the problem Ability to create and maintain customer relationships Essential time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail, goal oriented, and self-motivated
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office and showroom environment, interacting with customers and team members in a clean, organized, and service-focused setting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role requires physical movement, frequently traveling to jobsites, meeting with customers, etc.: around 50% of this position will be sedentary, 50% will be out of the office.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time commission-based role with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 5:00PM, along with required bi-monthly Saturdays. The position also involves traveling to job sites, working scheduled showroom hours, and occasional evening appointments.
