Job Summary Industrial Fabric Products Inc. is a family-owned manufacturer and online retailer of tarps, covers, and industrial fabric products. We are looking for a dependable, motivated Business Development Associate to support our Dialing for Dollars campaign targeting businesses. This is a full-time outbound calling position focused on identifying prospective customers, reaching decision-makers, introducing our products and capabilities, finding opportunities and building a relationship. The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, organized, persistent, professional, and comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls throughout the workday. Our Dialing for Dollars campaign is designed to build relationships with the decision-makers that may benefit from our industrial fabric products.
Primary Responsibilities:
Make consistent outbound calls as part of the company's Dialing for Dollars campaign. Contact prospective customers in various industries. Identify and connect with business owners and purchasing agents. Introduce Industrial Fabric Products Inc. and clearly explain our products, services, and manufacturing capabilities. Ask qualifying questions to understand each prospect's needs, current projects, upcoming projects, purchasing process, and timeline. Identify potential sales opportunities and solutions. Follow company-approved call scripts while keeping conversations natural, professional, and engaging. Navigate gatekeepers and handle common questions or objections respectfully and confidently. Follow up with prospects via phone, email, and voicemail. Maintain communication with prospects who may have longer project or purchasing timelines. Research companies and contacts to identify the appropriate decision-makers. Accurately record call notes, contact information, lead status, follow-up dates, and project details in the company's CRM system. Keep prospect lists organized, accurate, and up to date in the CRM. Meet daily and weekly goals for outbound calls, decision-maker conversations, follow-ups, and qualified opportunities. Communicate customer feedback, common objections, market information, and potential opportunities to management. Participate in sales meetings, coaching sessions, call reviews, and script development. Assist other sales and marketing team members as workload requires. Dialing for Dollars Campaign Responsibilities This position plays an important role in the organization and continued development of our Dialing for Dollars campaign.
Additional duties may include:
Research prospective companies and contacts. Building and organizing targeted prospect lists. Updating contact names, telephone numbers, email addresses, job titles, and company information. Organizing prospects by industry, location, customer type, project type, or sales opportunity. Sending introductory emails and requested product information. Following up on previous calls, inquiries, estimates, and potential projects. Confirming scheduled appointments before the meeting date. Identifying new industries, organizations, and contacts that may benefit from our products. Tracking campaign activity and results in the company's CRM system. Providing management with feedback about prospect needs, objections, competitors, and market activity. Helping improve calling scripts, qualifying questions, voicemail messages, and follow-up procedures. Assisting with other business-development and administrative assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in outbound calling, appointment setting, telemarketing, inside sales, lead generation, or business development is preferred. Strong and professional telephone communication skills. Comfortable participating in a high-volume Dialing for Dollars campaign. Comfortable making cold calls and starting conversations with new prospects. Able to remain positive, professional, and productive when handling rejection or objections. Strong listening, questioning, and relationship-building skills. Organized and able to manage multiple follow-ups and prospect conversations. Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, online research tools, and CRM software. Able to accurately document calls and maintain organized prospect records. Dependable, punctual, and able to work a consistent full-time schedule. Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting activity and appointment-setting goals. Willing to receive coaching and adjust calling scripts or approaches when needed. Experience contacting construction companies, contractors, schools, school districts, facilities departments, or purchasing departments is a plus.
