Job Purpose and Impact The Field Representative - Retail will participate in face-to- face and remote selling to our new and existing customers, selling directly or indirectly through various sales channels. We seek a results-oriented professional who, with guidance, will help assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions. This role is part of the sales team in Animal Nutrition, will support the state of Illinois and neighbouring territories , travel is required to cover the territory. Key Accountabilities Contribute to developing and delivering sales bids, presentations and proposals and participating in product demonstrations. Help identify and contact prospective customers, building relationships to generate future sales and repeat business. With basic knowledge of products, their characteristics and market, sell and stimulate demand for a series of products. Plan daily activities, including customer visits, grand Opening Events, Joint Opportunities, Promotions, and Groundswell strategies while delivering on key sales opportunities in the geography. Follow market and competition evolution, passing information to senior staff. Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% of the time (occasional weekends and overnights) Drivers license in good standing Preferred Qualifications Minimum of two years of related work experience Knowledge or experience in the animal nutrition retail industry Salesforce knowledge or experience Equine, livestock, pet or poultry nutrition knowledge Position Information
  • Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
  • This will be a home office role but needs to reside in the state of Wisconsin. Up to 80% travel is required to cover the area of responsibility..
  • The expected salary for this position is $60,000-$65,000.
Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
