Duties include processing orders, providing technical assistance, recommending substitute products, entering orders into the Company's software system, and ensuring accurate and prompt fulfillment. Additionally, this role manages sales quotations for contractors and industrial customers, product selection, follow-ups, and delivery coordination. It also supports inventory management, vendor relations, marketing initiatives, and ongoing product training to align with branch goals. Other duties may be assigned to support sales operations and ensure the achievement of branch objectives.
Responsibilities Order Management:
Process and maintain customer orders through in-person, phone, email, and other ordering channels ensuring the best possible customer experience. Accurately enter and fulfill all order components in a timely and efficient manner. Inform customers of promotions and marketing campaigns while actively identifying additional sales opportunities. Keep supervisors informed on competitor products and pricing. Participate in branch marketing and promotional activities as directed by management.
Customer Consultation & Sales Negotiation:
Determine customer eligibility for quotes, analyze project plans and specifications, and identify appropriate products based on the scope of work. Advise customers on products and applications. Research and select products/vendors, negotiate pricing with vendors and manufacturers.
Vendor Relations & Operational Support:
Engage with vendor representatives as needed to support branch sales and operations efforts.
Sales Counter Management:
Maintains a clean, organized sales area. Assist management in marketing and merchandising of the entire sales counter. Ensure that products, displays, and literature are up to date, organized, and effectively arranged. Attend training sessions and department meetings as requested. Serves as backup to the warehouse. Skills/Physical Demands/Additional Qualifications Strong Customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication. Requires a post offer pre-employment DOT physical. Driver's license that meets job requirements and a motor vehicle driving record that satisfies the requirements of our casualty and liability insurance program. For the state of KS Class-C, MO Class-E & OK Class-D. Must be able to obtain forklift safety certificate once hired. Must be able to lift 100 pounds on an infrequent basis and 25 pounds on a frequent basis. EOE including Disability/Vets
