Position:
Customer Service / Sales Representative Description Oil-Chem Research Corp., a subsidiary of Speedway Motorsports Inc., manufactures and distributes its proprietary additive, along with other automotive and motorsports lubricants and chemicals. Distribution channels include aviation dealers, automotive service centers, retail stores, and direct-to-customer sales. zMAX is seeking a customer service/sales representative. In this role, you will be responsible for entering sales orders, providing high-quality customer service, collaborating with other departments to resolve issues, and managing orders from receipt through shipment (and sometimes after). You will work closely with every department to complete daily tasks. In addition to serving current customers, this position will be responsible for securing new business channels. This position reports directly to the VP of operations. Duties and Responsibilities Gain category and product knowledge. Enter/edit sales orders in a timely, efficient and accurate manner. Accurately route shipments through the TMS portal and small-package shipment software.
  • Review all orders for missing or incorrect information; follow up with the customer to obtain complete information.
  • Provide professional and courteous service when dealing with customers who have questions or want to place an order.
Set up new customer accounts. Be efficient in all vendors' online portals along with EDI platforms. Pull and prepare orders for shipment. Assist with receiving and processing warehouse stock products (unload, count, locate in facility). Assist with verifying orders in Traverse as they leave the warehouse.
  • Assist with physical inventory, along with performing inventory cycle counts as needed.
  • Keep a clean and safe work area.
  • Work events/shows that often include working weekends.
Requirements Detail-oriented Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and speech, as well as to listen to and interpret the needs of customers and co-workers. Ability to handle a variety of customer situations with enthusiasm and tact; efficiently resolve customer issues. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Ability to work fluctuating hours depending on the season and needs. Ability to work a 40-hour workweek on a regular basis, at minimum. Dependent on work status or completion. Able to learn basic functions for all company software.
