This role plays a key part in expanding donor participation and strengthening community involvement as we work toward ambitious goals for the remainder of the year. The Fundraising Sales Trainee will help generate awareness and financial support for our nonprofit partner, whose mission focuses on sustaining education and youth-focused programs, strengthening relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve, and promoting safer, healthier neighborhoods throughout the Charlotte area.
Key Responsibilities:
Present engaging, educational information directly to community members to promote awareness and support for our partner's mission addressing issues such as drug use, violence, and bullying Set up, staff, and represent our organization at local events to share the mission and foster long-term community relationships Guide donors through in-person registration and maintain ongoing communication so supporters stay informed on programs, initiatives, and impact Collect and accurately record donations in accordance with established procedures Participate in daily meetings, training sessions, networking opportunities, and one-on-one coaching to support ongoing development
Qualifications:
No prior experience required — full training provided Strong interest in philanthropy, nonprofit work, and giving back to the local community Excellent communication and people skills, with a high level of empathy and emotional awareness Energetic, positive, competitive, and open to feedback Confident, professional, and authentic communicator Comfortable speaking with individuals and groups in a public setting Self-motivated with a strong work ethic Immediate availability is a plus
