President Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for customer contact and accurately coordinating information to and from production, vendors, and customers, as well as, providing feedback from managed accounts and other pertinent information that may affect strategy. Essential Responsibilities 1. Answer phones in a timely manner and respond to all incoming communication from the customer. 2. Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction by providing accurate, valid, timely and complete information using the appropriate methods/tools. 3. Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication. 4. Enter orders as soon as possible. Must obtain approval from Operations Manager for rush/emergency scheduling. 5. Prioritize inquiries and orders. 6. Identify selling opportunities with every call and quote opportunity and convert qualified inquiries into sales. 7. Provide pricing in accordance with company pricing procedures. 8. Follow-up on outstanding quotes within 2 days of issuance. 9. Follow up in accordance with customer's time frame, usually within 24-48 hours if at all possible. 10. Coordinate/Strategize with Operations Manager Production on specialty products. 11. Convey precise customer requirements to production. 12. Attach all supporting information (drawings, specifications, certifications). 13. Log all customer complaints, returns and compliments, as well as, vendor feedback into software program. 14. Provide RGA's to the customer up to the point of internal inspection. This must be made clear to the customer. Refunds or credits must be cleared with the Operations Manager prior to issuing. 15. Purchase buy/sell material specific to a job, selling the entire piece of special material to the customer. 16. Greet visitors, determine nature of visit, and direct or escort to specific destination. 17. File sales quotes in a timely manner. 18. Support coworkers by interacting and responding respectfully and assisting in other areas as needed. 19. Perform quality work in a timely manner with attention to detail; report discrepancies immediately to the supervisor. 20. Other duties and responsibilities consistent with operational goals and as needed.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent, Minimum of three (3) years prior Inside Sales/Account Management/Order Taking experience in a technical manufacturing environment Proven ability to read and interpret procedures, drawings, safety rules, maintenance instructions and company guidelines. Possess strong mathematical skills and practical knowledge of measuring tools, equipment and concepts. Must be detail oriented and possess strong problem solving skills Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Dependable and flexible with the ability to work on additional assignments as needed. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and work successfully in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and strict deadlines. Highly proficient in MS Office suite and other business and accounting software; Excel skills required.
